I know 50 is cheap, but thats what I want to spend.
Also, is it better to be a straightener with thin or wide plates?Good hair straightener?
Well, Conair Infiniti is really good and has a 5 year warranty I have tried all kind of flat irons and like this one best. Babyliss are also good but cost more. I have a 1'; and my hair is to my shoulders and it is not as bulky as a 2'; and with a 1'; you can get closer to the roots but with long hair a 2'; may be better. If this is what you mean by thin and wide plates.Good hair straightener?
I have a CHI and it works really well. But, before I purchased it, I had a Conair one from Walgreen's that was only $25 I believe. And if you pair that with Biosilk products, ranging from 10-20 dollars, your hair can be very straight.
For $50 there are not alot of options, and honestly you'd be better investing in a expensive one. I have a really nice one that has lasted 6 years.
However, if you insist, this website is awesome for hair stuff%26amp; you can search by price:

get a chi one they are good and like last forever
I have one (I think its conair??) anyway, its small and its called wet to straight it supposedly dries and straightens your hair at the same time, but i just use it when my hair is dry. It has 30 heat settings, and its kind of small but I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair and it works GREAT and I use it every day. I'm pretty sure it costs less than 50. Also those ceramic-plated ones they have at the mall (they come in black, pink and i think red) also work VERY well, my best friend and sister both have one and they LOVE it...
GOOD LUCK!

I bought mine from Zellers..so in the states that is the equivalent to Target..sorry for saying it!
Mine is a Conair. Make sure that you get one that is with GOLD plates, as it heats the most, and get a high voltage. I paid about 50 Canadian so you'd be paying less in American Dollars!
I have 2 inch wide plates with those little combs on the plates
Good luck and hope it works!
Mine is the red one...maybe that helps..very nice, works on wet or dry hair, has both settings and 30 different temperatures!!! Amazing honestly.
similar to this..but I have a wider one..more hair I guess!
you know all those suck they do but in order to get what you want you got to raise the price think about it would you rather go around getting bad hair straighteners that are 50 a piece and spend up to 200 dollars and still not find the right one or buy a pricey one that you would love i bought one from paul mitchell or CHI they are awwsom and i have tight curls
I don't know about the price in your area but Organic root stimulator relaxer is good..........Affirm is excellent but it's more expensive than the first 1
DO NOT GET GOLD PLATED.
If you're going to buy a straightener, try not to look at the price and think about the quality and long term effects on your hair. You're looking for a ceramic hair straightener. Not plated, completely ceramic. The metallic straighteners burn and ultimately damage your hair. Ceramic heats the water in your hair leaving it smoother and alot less damaged for alot longer. It definately looks better with a ceramic hair straigtener. Also, it'd be good to couple it with some kind of hair protectant straightening cream, not a relaxer. It's kind of like a heavy mouse you put in your hair while it's still wet. It protects your hair from the heat of straightening with an iron. And I'd go with a 1 and a 1/2'; straightener. Not too big, not too small.
well i have a straightener called vidal sassion
it works for me
but not sure about the frizz
but i heard that chi works really good
or any asian straighener
hope everything works out nd good luck!!
