Should I invest in a good hair straightener?

I am thinking about investing in a Solia flat iron, http://www.folica.com/Solia_Pink_Limi_d2/a> and I want to see if it would work better than my (crappy) Remington Wet2Straight flat iron, which works, but doesn't make my hair stay straight. It also makes the ends flip a little more. Here are some pics of my natural/straight hair:

I know, I have really thick, coarse, Italian hair that is hard to manage.

I also usually wear more makeup.Should I invest in a good hair straightener?
personally, you should get a hair straightener. you look very pretty with straight hair! and its also just a nice thing to have. whatever you choose, you are still very beautiful :)Should I invest in a good hair straightener?
That's strange, my hairs thicker, curlier, and coarser than yours and the Wet2Straight works fine on my hair. Though I think you should try the Solia before you buy it if you can, because it might not work that great. Try a Chi, those are pretty good and around the same price.
Well, I personally love my chi straightener. Those are the best in my opinion and you can buy them in most salons. They work great on thick, coarse hair like yours.
