Good Hair Straightener?

I have a Revlon straightener and it worked great for me but it just got old and its time to get a new one.

Now I'm looking for a straightener under 75 bucks.

It would be really nice if the straightener had a auto turn off. (Sometimes i forget to turn it off.) But if it doesn't that's alright.

It needs to...

-Have multiple settings

-Heat up fast

-Light Weight

Thanks(:Good Hair Straightener?
i LOVE my instyler, its probably the best straightener i have ever used bc it heats up super fast and it gives your hair move body and volume. my mother in law is a hair stylist and its the only thing she uses in her hair studio.Good Hair Straightener?
Mine is exactly like that. It has 6 diff. heat settings from 100 degrees to 400 F. After an hour or two it cools down by itself, and it heats up in 3 minutes. It's super lightweight. :) It's AMAZING i've been using it for 3 years EVERY DAY and it works great.

Mine is a red Conair one. It's super cheap too, I really recommond it. the only thing is you can't use it on wet hair. It's really pretty, though, it's red. :) A picture is here: http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/74/4/AAAAAgy4-FUAAAAAAHRMgQ.jpg

And you can buy it and read reviews %26amp;%26amp; stuff here:

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.conair.com/images/hc_cs26jcs_red.jpg%26amp;imgrefurl=http://www.conair.com/straight-ceramic-straightener-p-360.html%26amp;usg=__xNdx2nVAwwK_NBXtFqPK8u-XZ5c=%26amp;h=350%26amp;w=325%26amp;sz=14%26amp;hl=en%26amp;start=3%26amp;um=1%26amp;tbnid=IvyacVfDYM-OgM:%26amp;tbnh=120%26amp;tbnw=111%26amp;prev=/images%3Fq%3Dred%2Bconair%2Bhair%2Bstraightener%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7ADFA_en%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1 -- This is a NEWER VERSION of mine. Not the exact one. It's only around $40. Buy this if you want a straightner you can use on wet hair. I can't find the one I use, I assume they don't make them anymore, but they look almost exactly the same.
any cortex hair straightner is good,

go looking around in hair salons, and look online for good prices.

do not get conair, they might be good at first, but they do not last
Hello ,you can get a GHD. It fit for your demands .which have new rounder barrel so it's even easier to create perfect curls, waves or flicks, as well as the perfect straight.

Sleep mode is a built in sety feature that gives you peace of mind by turning off if the IV styler is left unattend for 30 minutes
Pitch in an extra 25 and get an 'in styler'

They don't damage hair.

CERAMIC!!!! It distributes heat more evenly and it is the only one I will ever use again! I use one by Conair ($25). It has 25 heat settings. Since my hair never straightens on ';high'; or ';10'; with other straighteners, that is a big help. Oh, and I also use Sleek Look by Matrix shampoo and conditioner and I am addicted. This stuff is a little pricey though ($20 per bottle) but soooo worth it! I actually paid $25 for a pair of liter size bottles on special at a salon. What is a good hair straightener to use?

    avon =]
Ummm not sure what its called i think you call it wet to straight and its located in any CVS anyway you wash your hair put conditioner in it you know wash the conditioner out then when your hair is still WET *(i think this is awsome)* You use the striaghtener and it drys it and straightens it at the same time one less thing to do after you take a shower!! Hope this helps
frizz ease hair product..located any you local CVS..Traget etc..
Had a cheap ceramic Revlon straightener to begin with but it fried my hair. Have since replaced it with another ceramic straightener purchased at Sally Beauty Supply. It works great!! I looked for the brand name on it but all it says on the handle is ';Porcelain series';. This one runs very hot so I don't have to use on high setting to get the results I want.
i use a conair gold ceramic straightener. it works very well and it has 0-25 heat settings so you can choose how hot you want it. it wasnt expensive either. i bought it a little while ago, it wasnt more than $25-$30. use straightening cream before you straighten it though! or else your hair will get damaged. good luck! =]
I have one from Walmart called Wet to Straight. It is a flat iron you can use when your hair is wet or dry. It worked great for me.
If you mean appliance, try Chi ceramic. You can buy this from ebay for 1/2 the price in retail stores. Also, use VO5 heat protection before your apply the straightener. This will make your hair silky.
    Try this site.
how much r u willing to spend...cuz the CHI is a really good one....but its kinda pricy
    I use titanium tools.

Check out Sally Beauty Supply. The good ones are around $50. but they're cheaper than most places.
frizz ease is good for straightening your hair as well as frizzy hair. Bur the best is to invest in a straightening iron - it works miracles........all of them work pretty good but the prcelin one is the best...........You can get them any were and it straightens in sec. Try Target or Sally's
go and ask the person whose cuts your hair because he knows better your hair and know what's good for your hair!

    That's what i do!

What's a really good hair straightener?

i don't want to spend a lot (30 (american) dollars at most), but i want a good quality hair straightener. i have medium length hair, medium thick if that matters. all suggestions are appreciated! What's a really good hair straightener?

    How to straighten hair

    http://www.askaquery.com/question/How-to/a>
well lets see...first make sure its ceramic. they dont dry your hair out or leave it damaged. some of them enhance the color of your hair. i would go to your local wal-mart/target/supermarket. if youve got thick hair i would go with a wider iron, if you have thin hair i would recommend a thinner iron. also you should get one where you can adjust the temerature. all hair is different and some need more heat than others to get straightened. the ceramic ones usually have the kind you can adjust...another great reason to get a ceramic one is because they heat up in less than a minute!
well my hair is medium and wayyy thick my friend had this hair striaghtener that she didn't want so she gave it to me and its revlon and she said that she paid about $25 (american dollars) and it works good on my super thick hair and also theres another straightener that is way beyond great but its $50 (american dollars) from jcpenny's hair salon i think and it can go up to 410 degrees and it gets your hair flattttttt!!!!! but hope it helped!!!!!
I know I'm a guy, so don't know what I'm talking about, but here goes:

I got a some as present for my g/f from her baby son. They have ceramic plates (as already mentioned in some answers) but also have a tempurature control (thermostat). She uses them often %26amp; really likes them. Got them for around UKæ‹¢20, so I'm sure you'll find something similar in the US.

    Good luck.
HAI is wonderful but its 80 dolars...be careful conair ones ...mine was 25 dolars was cheap and it fryed my hair u had to go over same piece of hair 3 times to straighen it and broke my hair...my advie is to invest
Make sure you have a professional ceramic straightener. It doesnt mostly matter what brand it is. All It matters is the type of straightener you use. =]

    good luck!
    I you Need a perm Dr.Miracle
    conair
sorry GHD it's the gospel. once you have had these babies you wont go back
the sedu and the new gold n hot flat irons but can go to sedu .com there like 125.00
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j/a> This is the one that i use. It makes my hair straight and shiny but you hve to go over all of your hair a couple times and try useing Herbal essences none of your frizziness

Even better 12 u.s. dollars.Try this new product called Majesty it's new and so good for your hair.apply and blow dry straight no schlemiels all natural and it makes your hair grow.www.majestyhair.com
In bed bath and beyond they sell a straightening iron that is called maxi glide its really good i saw it an tv and it flattens down frizzz if u get alot of it
    conair
go to ulta.com or go to target. i got mine for 25 ish dollars.
i would get a chi.. well no because they are $150.. but they are like the best straighteners eva!! if u save up or somethin.. maybe u could get one........................
    conair
u can use a mild perm or use some flat irons
I have a HAI one and it is GREAT--it was about $120 and there are ones made by CHI that are also just as good and around the same price. I heard that Amazon has them for a little less. I know it seems a lot but don't buy cheapy ones cause they'll damage your hair. Besides, if you invest the $, you'll use it a lot anyway and it will be worth it.

What is a good hair straightener?

I have really thick dry curly frizzy hair tht gets really puffy when drying.

And also what hair products do u recommend? What is a good hair straightener?
a GHD, they are really good, coz u can curl and straiten ur hair and it doesnt make it go wierd. it also comes with a video that has the diferent styles and how to do it properly :) they have breast cancer ones that donate money to breast cancer. Worth the money :)

Hope i helped!!What is a good hair straightener?
The CHI it is the best one you can get. There are knockoffs so make sure its the right one but its 100 - 200 dollars WELL worth. They last for YEARS and they hit up in 30 seconds. They get hotter than any straightner I have used and my friend is a hair stylist for a very expensive salon and that is what she uses on her customers and her self. I tell everyone get a CHI straightner. You can find them on ebay.com for cheap. And a product I use and LOVEEEE is biosilk. It comes in a simi small thing for like ten bucks. Its a clear or white bottle. It lasts for months. U only need the smallest little dime size amount put it on ur ends and through out ur hair. Its makes ur hair shinny, but not greasy. Also, I have frizzy curly q's and it makes it so much easier to straighten. It also makes it healthier. After finding this stuff I would NEVER EVER buy anything else. I PROMISE if u get the biosilk you will not be sorry. Use it for all hot tools. A little on damp hair before you low dry then a little bit while straightening. AMAZING.
    Hi there lyra

Haircare is something that you can spend a great time [worrying] about but there are many creative ways to get amazing hair fast and easy.

A while back I had similar query like yours . I discovered best solution by searching at below websites.

Seems like the One of the best site for all questions concerning Hair-

    http://doiop.com/yourhair

My hairdresser discovered this amazing site for hair related problems:

    http://hairstyles101.blogspot.com/
    go to the mall.

they have these little carts that have curling irons ansd straighteners.

they work really well! they r expensive tho!

i also suggest BIOSILK: SILK THEREPY...

its like a baby oil..but for ur hair! it tames frizzys and keeps ur hair soft and smelling good!

u can buy a big bottle at costco, or i bought a small one at the swapmeet.
i have a really cool straightener by VS sassoon. You can pick the heat that you want it at anywhere up to 230 degrees celcius, and it is small enough to curl, straighten, whatever!
    chi's are really good.

you can have a look at these good chis...

I recommend CHI straighteners (they are in the 100s for price, but are worth it because they last for years) and use Biosilk for product. These are the best!
Chi or GHD are the best and use a good quality hair product even though it might cost more it will work wonders
chi's are really good....with heat styling serum...preferably biolage hair tonic
    The FHI works wonders
    GHD's
    GHD THE BEST
i bet you all your answers are gonna say CHI.

What are some good Hair Straighteners?

I would really like to buy a new straightener- and please do not reccomend Revlon because I find they work like shirt and do crap to your hair. Can you please reccomend some nice straighteners that work very well and would last a good time for the price range of $30-$85?

    Thank you!

p.s, which is better? Solia or CHI? I hear a lot of different stuff.

p.p.s, my hair type is thick and curly and constantly gets dried out from crappy Revlon and cheap straighteners. Thank you. What are some good Hair Straighteners?
my hair has been bleached and dyed so much that my other straighteners made my hair feel worse. but i just bought the Wet 2 Dry straightener from walmart for like $25 and it has worked so well and made my hair really shiny! What are some good Hair Straighteners?
Well I don't think you can get a decent hair straightener for that price range. Revlon, Conair, Vidal Sassoon, and all of those drug store hair straighteners aren't good for your hair, %26amp; they break really easily. I think you should invest in a GHD. They are reeeallly expensive, probably around $200, but they last a long time. I've been through 3 straighteners and this one has not given me any problems whatsoever. Also when you get the straightener, you get a DVD that shows you different hairstyles that you can go with the straightener.

Chi would probably be better than Solia but I still recommend the GHD.

But the decision is mostly to you... maybe a Conair straightener is better for your hair. It is for some people, but I have similar hair to you, thick and curly and GHD makes it pin straight and very soft and silky.
    chi
    I use Chi. I love it :)
I have a solia and I LOVE it and prefer it to chi's that I've used. solias are also much more relevant to your price range. I have the pink solia. I got it from folica.com and I'm very satisfied!
    st8 there really good
I hear the CHI is really good :)
    CHI!

    best straightner everrr.

i have one, and i LOVE it.

i would recommend it to anyone,

no matter how your hair is, the chi is right for you (:

    heres a link: http://www.chiretail.com/tools/irons/fla/a>
i have a CHI straightener...the good thing about them is they last for a really long time...plus when i dropped mine on the cement and broke it -i took it back and got trade in for it at my local salon...i think they are more expensive than $85 tho but absolutely worth it...you could try on ebay and prob find one for cheaper.

ps...about your hair getting dried out...try a thermal spray when straightening your hair
    CHI Straighteners are pretty good.

The Chi is perfect!!!! Whoever told you that they brake easily, that is a huge lie!!!! I've had mine for about two years and it works as good as when i first bought it..and i use mine everyday.....It heats up really fast and doesn't give me any reason to dislike it. GO FOR IT...BYE THE CHI! :)

i have somewhat thin hair, it isnt too thick or curly but its wavy. right now i have a cheap hair straightener but am looking for something that will work faster and better and keep my hair straightened all day, because right now my hair goes wavy by the end of the day if i straighten it. any ideas?Good hair straighteners?
i REALLY suggest the Chi to you. it doesn't have heat controls, but it goes up to the perfect temperature.

not too high, not too low.

and the plates are ceramic so it'll make your hair really smooth and straight all day.

you can find the CHi online, and I believe they have it at Target as well.

it's a bit expensive, but it's an AWESOME investment, and I think you will love it.Good hair straighteners?
i really like my chi, it works really good for me and i have crazy curly hair! plus it doesn't damage your hair do to the iron plates they use for it! hope i helped!
Well a CHI starighner is the best you can buy them over at JCPenny's for almost $200 dollars those are the only best!
I have a Herstyler and its amazing. They might be at the mall but you can also get it online. Mine cost $200 but its worth it

Is Sedu, GHD, or Ozon the better hair straightener?

In the beginning, I was going for a CHI. After extensive research, I decided to buy a Sedu for about $120 instead. But now that I've done a bit *more* research, I'm not sure if a Sedu is worth it either.

The Ozon has more positive feedback and better ratings than the Sedu, but GHD seems to be the most expensive and favored by professionals... which one do I choose?! Please help. =[Is Sedu, GHD, or Ozon the better hair straightener?
Sedu (Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline) is the best, then GHD (MK4 Ceramic), then Ozon.

You can also purchase them there and read more reviews.

Make sure you put in some 100% aloe vera gel, shea butter, coco butter, or mango butter before you straighten! These products are 100% natural and will protect your hair against the heat from the irons. They also give you hair more body and a whole lotta shine!

    Good hair straightener??

I have VERY curly hair that almost nothing will hold and want something extra strong, also i definetely want it minimally or not hair damaging. I dont want a straightenening iron, and want some straightener prefferrably under $20. thanks =)Good hair straightener??
    Asian Parents.Good hair straightener??
A gentle hair relaxer will make your hair wavy, not straight.

A Chi flat iron costs $130 but they're very effective. The CHI is salon-recommended ceramic. Any heat styling does damage but the CHI has the highest quality ceramic plating. Use a before product like TreSemme FlatIron spray which is for heat damage control. The after treatment is a cuticle sealer or a dime size dollop of BioSilk serum. You get what you pay for as far as pricing.
look for sales at like ulta or something, but if you have really curly hair, CHI flat irons are the best, but they are a ridiculous amount of money, bed head's are good, but a little expensive also. you're not going to find a good one for that price, check out kmart if 20$ is your limit.
Well, ALL straighteners under $20 will damage your hair. CHI straighteners are the best, but they're upwards of two hundred. A Remington Wet2Straight is about $40 and it's half decent for a cheap product.
okay i have very curly hair, but i got this relon or remington wet to straight hair dryer. it works really well. it was only 22 dollars. dont go buy one of those 125 dollar ones they waste money.
umm...for $20 u wont get a good straightener, maybe for $100,you could get those at the mall, those really work and its worth it!

    Whats a good hair straightener?

GHD hair straightener. *I did see one for sale for $15 once but,

i bought mine about 7 months ago and it works great!!! i paid $170 for it but since it was awhile ago the price had to go down by now. It was created in Europe but i bought in the US

you can curl, straighten, crimp your hair with it. (with out changing the plates) its is so hard to break...(i can be slammed on the floor as hard as you want. its piratically indestructible)

it only goes up to a certain temp. so it wont burn your hair, you can use it while your hair is still damp.

they only take 15 secs. to start up. and when unplugged it cools fast too. so you never have to wait long

its is professional so it has a 9ft cord so you can take it far lol

i use it all the time and it has never let me down yet.

here is a pic of it. they also come in pink lol

CHI its expensive, but so worth it in the long run.

Seriously, they are like $100 on Folica

They don't damage your hair as much because its ceramic and it keeps your hair straight.

Its expensive but it will last for a while.

You don't want to buy a new straightener every couple of months, like I did before the CHI.

Good luck! =DWhats a good hair straightener?
I have this Remington Wet2Style. You can use it on either dry or wet hair and it works GREAT. i highly recommend it. and plus you can get it at walmart.
A good hair straightner are the ones that are thin in length... You can but them at hair salons, and 210 degrees and up is best!
paul michel smoothing iron i had a chi n it sucked cuz i have think hair if u have thin hair u could prolly get a conair or chi or bed head but for curly or thick hair best bet is the paul michel! hope i helped!
Chi. you can always go to your local salon and check out what the hairdressers are using.
CHI i thought 100 bucks for a straightener. yeah right. but ever since i started using my CHI i never gone back.

bedhead works wellWhat is a good hair straightener?
the CHI one is the BEST BEST BEST. it's amaziiiiiing. it's about $240 or so, but it's awesome. and hot tools, but that's more damaging than CHI i think.
I've answered this question before, but I'm sticking to my answer. The Chi is the best possible flat iron to get. It is expensive, it'll set you back at least 100$. But if you want a straightener that actually works, heats up in no time, and will last a Chi is the way to go! I've had mine for over 2 years now. I started college this year, and my little sister loved/used my Chi so much that she had to buy one since she couldn't borrow mine!!

    Hope that helps!
I have a Chi and I do not agree that it is the best one....not for my type of hair. My hair isn't super curly but is a long ways from being straight too. The best straightener I have found that gets hot enough to straighten my hair without melting it is the Infinity. I like it so much better than the Chi and it doesn't take nearly as long to straighten my hair.....plus it is CHEAPER!! It doesn't work like a cheap straightener though....mine is 2 years old and still works like when it was new.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.
I have heard that Chi is really good. My hair stylist always uses it on my hair and I love it. My hair feels silky and soft. It also stayed straight for 3 days about. I have used Rusk in the past and it was okay. Right now, I am using Corioliss. I have had no problems with it so far. I would like to get a Chi but it is a little pricey for me right now.

I got a black Chi for 100 or 110 ( IKD it was a b-day present), and my sister has one and has used one, and it does really cool things for her hair(waves it, straightens it, curls, etc.). One thing my sis told me NEVER to do if mine brakes is to buy the colored ones(pink, blue, etc) they break super fast. But they are really not hype, they work great and they do last quite a long while.

You can get them at your local hairdressers or online.

If you do get this hair straightener i do suggest you get the heat proctor before you use it and the cream that you use when you about to use it as well. The reason being is because the GHD is very hot and can do damage just like any other hair straightener.

The average cost for the GHD is around 250 - 300 dollars (AUD).

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ghd-Hair-Straight/a>

Or i would suggest the Remington which is very good as well, Almost as good as the GHD.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-REMINGTON-WET/a>

    Good Luck!
so my straightner was around 140 thats because i preordered from a salon but thats pretty cheap for a good straightener ..it goes up to 430 degrees and heat up it less than 2 minutes..the brand is... zazen.. and it has like a little ~ sign above the a and stuff but watever...i love it..hope this helps..good luck..:)
    chi = awesomeness.
    definetly chi
I bought a herstyler forever on ebay for 68$ (worth 120) and it's great! You should get one
revlon , any ceramic type, ion
I would suggest a Paul Brown straightner.

I've had mine for sooo long and it still works perfectly fine
I think for the Chi you have to just take really good care of it.

    but IDK lol

    Try solia?

What are some good hair straighteners?

My hair is VERY thick and not exactly easy to straighten..i need one that has a good ';squeeze down clamp';...an high heat setting, one with large blades for fast straightening...

Thanks everyone!! i would also like one thats not too expensive but im pretty desperate so if something will work, then i would just about pay anything. What are some good hair straighteners?
I have a green leopard print CHI. I have extremely thick, curly hair that is very hard to manage. My CHI does the job great!

Not to mention, the green leopard print design is super cute! It's $140, but it is SO worth it. I do NOT recommend anything else. Conair wrecks your hair, and so does a lot of other cheaper straigheners. The CHI is a great deal for the money.

    Here's some links.

I bought mine at my favorite makeup store called Ulta.

Here is the picture of the CHI I own.

    http://search.ulta.com/nav/marketing/chi/a>

This link shows you which states contain Ulta stores.

    http://www.ultacoupons.com/store/

The states in Orange contain Ulta locations. The ones in grey don't.

    Hope I helped. :]

I love my CHI. I wouldn't trade it for any other straightener. What are some good hair straighteners?
Chi - i hear they work well.

If you go to sally's they have the generic chi (GVP) it works just as well.

I have thick hair also, for awhile i used a conair one but it

didn't work well. It didn't heat up well.

Now I have a corioliss - it works very well. found it in my local mall at a cart.

Paul Mitchell straighteners work verrryy well.

Go to a beauty store (sally's .. etc.) and ask. Most times they'll help a lot.
well mine is a saramic hair salon one..

It was made by the people who supply the hair salons, and it works great. My hair is kind of thick too, and My hair is natually curly, not like out of control but like a body curl, and I use it it works great, mine was 60 dollars I am sure you can find them cheaper..

Talk to a hair dresser about them ordering you one out of their catalog...They all have them, and they work great!

Most of them get to high temps. and are better than conair, revlon any of hem out there!

    Hope I helped...=]
i have really thick hair too. i use a straighten called wet 2 straight. it works really good and you can use it when your hairs wet. and it has really high settings. i don't think it was that expensive.
Coriolis and Chi but they don't have very big blades.

umm don't use a wet or dry they will just fry your hair.

but i had a Revlon one before my chi or Coriolis i have both and it worked GREAT!

and it was only like twenty dollars.
    the kind that heat up

edit: sorry i was lazy anyways go down to sallys like the other person suggested
go to sallys.com they are really good!! kinda pricey but they work!

    good luck
I have really thick curly hair and I use a Fenici.. it actually works alot faster than my previous ones.
    Conair straightners work pretty good.
Buy a Chi or a Babyliss. Those are the best!
i have a CHI it works wonders!!

Edit: Barbie OMG I LOVE URS

    Good hair straighteners?

I need a really good hair straightener. But also one that isn't very expensive.Good hair straighteners?
Baby Bliss hair straitners are LIFE SAVERS!Good hair straighteners?
The best straighteners you are going to find are going to be the expensive ones. My straightener was 150 dollars, and well worth the money. i have very very wavy/curly hair, and most people don't even realize that my hair isn't naturally straight! But if your hair isn't super curly, or If you're just looking for a store bought brand, then i would say hot tools have the best straighteners for cheap prices!
Well depends how much youre willing to pay.

The best straightener out there at the moment (as shown in folica)

is the Sedu, i own it myself and it isnt ridiculously priced. But

it is a triple digit straightener.

It works super good though, it hardly damages your hair, it doesnt

snag it and it lasts all day and through the night to the next day

Its price is $119 but its money well spent trust me
CHI workss awesome but is normally a tad expensive. normally you can find a brand new one on ebay for less than it retails for.

bed head also has pretty good ones.

theese are really good for really curly thick hair.

but if your hairs pretty straight you can just go get one at wallmarrt,
    http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh…

    HOPE I HELPED!!
i love infinatie by conair it has a 2 year warrenty and it was only 60 bucks soo i love it and it dosent damage ur hair

    Good Hair straightener...?

    Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get a good hair straightening press / iron in Delhi? I have wavy hair and need a broad iron which can straighten my hair...

    Your help is appreciated...

    Thanks!Good Hair straightener...?
The best straightening iron on the market or at least in my area is the Chi. It is a ceramic iron that works wonders on the hair. I use it everyday in my salon and on my own hair. You can buy it at just about any professional salon or professional beauty supply store. It runs about 100 dollars but has a lifetime warranty and is well worth the money.Good Hair straightener...?
I can recommend a good straightner, but i don't know if they are available in delhi. Here in UK I use GHD (Good Hair Day) its the best one available internationally. Hope that helps
get a hot comb by conair
i would suggest you go to a beauty supply store.there should have hair straighters there.you should get the ones that are around 450 degrees that still protect your hair from being damaged.the good ones run about $100-$120
The best you can get is CHI, but order it from a hair salon and then go pick it up, you can find CHI straighteners in stores, but if you want a real proffesional one, callup your hair salon
do not go anywhere just start using garnier fructis shampoo.if you have any problem then contact me at deepika_hannah@yahoo.co.in
I'm not sure where but get a glass straightener bec they're supposed to work wonders. It's supposed to be harder to burn your hair, which is always a plus.
if u will try to find then therte are many shops there lajpatrai market i think u shoud try there
hot tools and babyliss are 2 amazing brands. I personally don't like conair...and trust me I have tried them ALL!!
    wallace and garnier fructis conditioner

    Good hair straightener?

What is a good hair straightener less than about $70-$80?Good hair straightener?
CHI's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

    Curling with a Sedu:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=k57daS_c_yI

    Flipping hair with a Sedu:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=qrMPuIdQ0vw

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees, with tempature control. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.

Celebrities have nice hair, and they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?

Also, on Folica.com, people can post reviews on products after they have tried them. Here are they stats on CHI:

52 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of out of 1077 total reviews.

    Sedu:

20 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of 3675 total reviews.

That speaks for itself.Good hair straightener?
    chi!
    steam straightnerer
    chi

    just google chi straighteners
remington wet to straight flat iron
If you want a good one go for GHDs. Don't know how much that will set you back in dollars but you could always try eBay for preused ones. Got to have GHD tho theres nothing like them!
well straighteners from 70-80$ are not usually the best but some can work.

i suggest the conair infinity nano, it's like 90 or 80 but its worth it.
Go to ebay and buy a CHI I own one myself

it is worth every penny and it heats up very well
    Chi, but it's 150- 250.
professional straughteners work best... NOT Conair their stuff sucks
i'm not sure what it's called but it is red and made by revlon. It's wet/dry, but that can be turned off. It works wonders on my hair!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

    Good Hair Straightener?

My hair is thick, curly, pretty frizzy. I was wondering if anyone knows what straightener would be the best for my hair type.

    thanks :]Good Hair Straightener?
GDH's are the best straighteners, i have them and they are awesome!

Hairdressers use them when they straighten peoples hair in salons.

Quite expensive but worth it!Good Hair Straightener?
I like to use paul mitchelle's Ive had some good results with them if you choose not to use this kind just make sure that which ever straightner you decide to use, use a heat protection product or spray b4 you start it minimizes damage :)

oh yeah and you may have to spend a little more money than usual but its worth it cheep stuff will just reck your hair especially since you have curly thick hair
i have a chi nano and it works better than all the other flat irons i have tried. a digital one works best because if its not digital then it always on the hottest temp which you may not need and it will fry your hair. use the chi heat protection for your hair or got2b heat protection which is cheaper. for frizz i use tigi spoil me, but it doesn't last very long so i also use tigi manipulator which is a cream that is really thick so you only need a little and not only does it help with frizz it also parts hair and makes it look better.
i have really curly thick hair...

so this is wut ur going to do...

chi hair straightener- buy off ebay so its cheaper

    redken smooth down heat glide

    pantene anti humitiy hairspray

part ur hair into 2 sections(top of ur head and bottom) and pin the top part on top of ur head

squirt 2 pumps of redken and gloss over ur head (less if ur hair is oily but my hair is dry thick and curl)

    spray area with hair spray

    straighten in small sections

now brush the straightened hair of to ur left sholder and take the top half of ur hair and part it along ur part and take the right side (1 squirt) and spray and straighten (left side is pinned or hairbaned)

then take all ur straightened hair and put it in a ruber bannd and work on the left side (1 squirt and spray)

this is how i have to do it to make my hair the way i want it and it works really well. takes about 20-30 minutes but it lasts for a few days. and as u keep doing it it gets faster

good luck ad keep it gangster
    I really like two:

hands down i'd have to say is the FHI. research it. i myself have had many ceramic hair straighteners from store brands to mediocre to salon quality. (i've had ceramic hot tools from sallys, a jade wigo, something from krogers, the infamous CHI, and even a GHD.) but i did some research and found that FHI is the SHIZZ right now.

Ive only used that one a few times but I have conair and it works too. I use my CONAIR most of the time. It doesnt make it frizzy and it doesnt damage your hair easily. Hope I helped!
Paul Mitchell is great but something that's a little cheaper, and works really well, is a 2 inch Red hair Straightenerr, that goes up to 500 degrees or something like that. Be careful that you don't damage your hair, so buy Nexxus anti hair damage spray. just spray it all over before you straighten your hair. Good luck!
I have a Maxiglide and I love it. It actually uses steam from water to keep moisture in your hair and it has little combs in the plate so it detangles too.
    heres a link.

    http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/whic/a>

it would tell you what straightner is best for you
Conair - ';Wet2Straight'; - flat iron is the best for your hair. I have similar type hair. Try it, if you can find it!
Ghd's Are The Mother Of All Straighteners, I Have Some And I Think There Great!
chi or if u want something less expensive than get conair
chi is the best. it keeps your hair straight and shiny all day.

I want a hair straightener that can straighten hair and also curl it. I want something around 70 - 120 dollars. My hair is wavy, and thin, But conair is scheisse, and doesn't work at all. Anyways, I want a styler than can last all day.Good hair straightener?
I would recommend HerStyler hair straightener. It usually costs about $100. You wash your hair, blow dry it, and when its finally dry, straighten it. You only have to go over the hair piece once and it's straight.Good hair straightener?
I'm in the UK but these are probably available world wide. They are called GHD. You can find GHD's if you google for their website. I tried at least 3 other cheaper hair straighteners because I did not believe that one could be better than the others and because GHD's were slightly more expensive. The others didn't do the job properly and I finally bought the GHD ones. They are fantastic. They straighten, curl and lock in moisture.

if u want to know what iron to get then

CHI n GHD's are best! get one of them! and no they aren't 100 to 200 dollars if u order online...i got my chi turbo for 87 dollars at amazon.com

and at ioffer.com the chi's cost from 29.99 to 50 dollars..they are authentic not replica's.(some are replicas so ask the seller first but most arent)

and can u believe ghd's at that site only cost 16.00 dollars? once shipping is added its like 60 something... that is still cheap for such a great salon product!! .at salons its 200 to 400 dollars!!

    http://www.ioffer.com/i/NEW-PINK-GHD-MK4/a>

it comes with a pouch, iron, clips, and instruction dvd..if u want the chi then get the turbo chi because it has temperature control settings unlike other chi models!

    http://cdn.overstock.com/images/products/a>

message me for any help!! chi's are cheap at the site! buy one! u will be happy!
People say that the Chi (Ceramic Hair Iron) is the best.

It's good for healthy thick hair because it only has one heat setting, which is not adjustable.

But yea, I've heard good things about it. =)

    Hope I've helped.

    Good hair straighteners??

Hey there! umm... I'm looking for a new straightener. i dont really care about price. My hair is between super curly and wavy. Its really coarse and a little below the shoulders. Right now I have a two inch CHI and its ok but my hair turns curly after like an hour. Please help!Good hair straighteners??
    i love chi.

    i live for their straightener.

there is nothing better, so i think what you should do is get straightening spray that protects as well as straightens easier.

it will hold the straighter hair longer, guarantee it.Good hair straighteners??
    Oh my god!!!

    Bedhead straighteners ROCK!!!

    Or , pluged in

    THEY ROCK!!!

    They are smooth

have a good gripper and get very hot. And come in stylish colors/designs. I have a pluged in. They run from 40$ to 80$

Like a 1'; (the one I have) are the like 60$ ones. It all depends on how thick our hair is the thicker your hair the wider you want your straitener to be. My hair isn't frizzy, damaged, wavy curly anything. I just like straiteners. So I have a 1'; anyway they are awesome.

    Hope I helped!!!

this straightener is awesome i love it leaves your hair straight all.
Honestly there is really nothin u can do but get a perm..

but if u do tht ur hair will stay straight for 3-6 months (even if it gets wet which means new growth will come curly while the rest is straight)..

    just being honest..

    Good hair straighteners?

I'm looking to get a good, new hair straightener. I want to ask for a new one for Christmas, but I'm not sure what kind to ask for. What's the best kind of straightener out there? I'm not really worried about price.Good hair straighteners?

i've heard ceramic straignteners work tooGood hair straighteners?
I'd have to say GHD's. I've heard that other brands are good too, but i haven't used them personally, so i can't give you my opinion.

GHD's are fairly expensive. Try looking on ebay or something, you'll get it cheaper:)

    take care.

The Ghd's are good. But Slightly Costly.

For very thick and wavy hair get ceramic plates. Doesn't really matter what straightner as long as it has alot of heat settings and ceramic plates. :D
For thick and wavy hair I would defiantly get the CHI straightener it is expensive but it is defiantly worth it!! You will love it soooo much. You defiantly need to get a ceramic straightener!! Yes, I think that if you use bedhead to much it can damage your hair. But that is just me I have thin hair, it might not damage thick hair. I hope this is helpful!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
i think bed head and its inexpensive
None of those choices. I recommend Solano or the Chi.

Hair straighteners are allways good for curly hair.

You can make your curly hair streight using it.

Here are some best Hair straighteners,

    http://hair-straighteners.blogspot.com/
I have a hai ceramic flat iton (hai, not chai) and I love it. Good quality and it works (I have wiry crazy wavy hair and use it on its highest setting, but you should be ok with a lower setting). I would recommend you go with a ceramic flat iron as it does less damage to your hair. My hai cost me about $120 plus tax in the store but I've seen it online for less than $100.
chi is the best no question about it..and it has a warranty its 130$
I have wavy thick hair. abnormally thick lol. I used to use Andis but that was a dud. At my mom's house I use the CHI straightner and it works really well. Or cheaper would be the revlon irons. They go really hot and have different functions like how thick your hair is and it goes up in temp. give it a try.

Is this a good hair straightener?

Okay so I straighten my hair everyday because mine is wavy and it's medium length, so when I don't straighten it results in disaster....I had a really nice straightener that worked WELL but then it burnt out and I cant find another like it:( I want one that will work well at a reasonable price so is this a good one? http://www.target.com/Remington-Digital-/a>Is this a good hair straightener?
Ya, you probably don't want to settle for a cheaper one because it'll break down fast. Have you thought about a Chi? Chi hair straighteners are awesome, there's no other that even comes close. I got this trial one that's really good directly from the Chi company itself. All I needed to do was try it out for at least 60 days and then give feedback every few days.

It works really awesome, it just heats up super fast and takes me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair and I got really long wavy hair.

I'm not sure if there are any left, but you can always try http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/chi/a>

I hope that helps :)Is this a good hair straightener?
anyhting for 22$ is probly not a good price.

how much were you looking to spend. ???

i got a really good one for my cuzin in the mall. i spent 100$ and it goes up to 400*

    its great.

    allso chekc EBAY
You should try FHI they have some good deals on Ebay. Professional brand straighteners are much better than cheep ones.

Is this a good hair straightener?

http://www.target.com/CHI-Mini-Collectio/a> i know chi is a good brand but what about this specific model? i dont wanna blow 100 bucks on something just as crappy as my revlon. thanks for your time and help!Is this a good hair straightener?
Honestly, I've learned that straighteners pertain to the person's hair. My mom's hair is extremely curly and does better with this one straightener that we own, but doesn't work so well on my more straight hair, where as my straightener works well on my hair, but gives her her the crimp look. So, my suggestion is to try it since it's a good brand but to keep the box and receipt and to test it out for a week. If it's not exactly what you wanted take it back! It's not worth the $100 dollars.. but if you're still skeptical go to a Sally's Beauty Store... or another beauty store in your area and ask for help, those girls know their hair supplies and will send you home with the right straightener. Is this a good hair straightener?
Since the straightener costs $100 you'd want to make sure it's worth the money. I use The herstyle straightener. It's also $100 but It works wonders! It's quick and very easy to use. It can straighten and curl hair. You can buy this hair straightener at the westchester mall.
i've used it , i dont really like it

i would go with the regular sized chi. not the mini

in my opinion it takes longer with the smaller one and it feels weird to straighten with .
I have a Chi straightener and it works amazingly well. But i have the bigger version. I would definitely get the bigger version! It's like, $80 (:
yes it has the chi name so you should expect chi quality.. but it is a min iron with products, hence the 99 bucks.. :o)

    Good hair straightener?

I wanted a CHI, but only if I can find the original for $75 in stores.

(If you know of one, please tell!!)

But if you tell me the name of a GOOD straightener for below $80, I would be forever grateful. My straightener right now tends to burn my hair and make it smell bad.

    Thanks!!!!!!Good hair straightener?

I use an Ion Ceramic Conditioning Iron now.

I don't know if they still sell it - it's gray and blue.

I've had it for FOUR years, and it still works pretty good.

I had to use it again last week, since my Sedu broke. Got the same results.
    GHD straightners are the best
What ever you buy don't buy the instyler it's a rip off.

I use GHD straigteners, in my opinion these are by far the best i have tried, most hair dressers use these aswell, however, they are around æ‹¢100, they make your hair smell like it does from a salon and are deffinately worth the money as they last a long time xx
    I have one, it's called ';hair tools';

I have curly hair and in less then 30 min[with my hair dry] my was straight!

    Good Luck!
hi my friend has just recently purchased some ghd hair straighteners, she has really coarse hair and its curly, you can get them cheaper off the Internet,or may be your local salon ,her partner payed 120.00 for them but they are definitely worth the money, try and buy a product- IE straightening serum to use before straightening, this will help protect your hair as these straighteners do heat up to 240 degrees,i am doing my second year in hairdressing nvq2 at present my tutor has also recommended them too, hope this helps

    Good Hair Straightener?

im looking for a hair straightener that does the least damage to your hair (like burning it, ripping it out, etc.)

i've also heard the CHI is really good, but some people say it also really bad. so whats right and whats wrong?Good Hair Straightener?
Well, i have had my chi for 6 years and never had a problem, but i do find it a bit drying...but it makes my hair perfect. I have also tried T3, and I really like those irons as well. I heard GHD is greatGood Hair Straightener?
i have the ghd. its very good, the straightener is easy to use, and it helps that your not damaging your hair as bad as other Straighteners would. the straightener is expensive but effective, it has ceramic plates. buy it. lol hope it helps. but if your not up for coughing up 250 to 200 dollars depending on if you want the newer version or older version (the newer version can be used all over the world without a converter, and is sleeker) then you should look for a straightener with a ceramic plate. chi, t3, and ghd are the most advertised straightners for their good quality but the key is to look for cermaic plates. hope this helps
I've been using my CHI for years and love it - they are a little expensive but TOTALLY worth it.

Also, I know someone posted that it dries their hair out - they probably just don't use the hair serum that Chi has - put it in your hair after you shower, blow dry and straighten and your hair will not be dry. They also sell flat iron stuff that you spray on each layer before you straighten it like a hair spray. It protects your hair and makes it straighter.
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

I've had a CHI for 3 years and it's amazing. I can't say anything bad about it. It's the best straightener that I know of.
CHI's are actually really good my friend has one an it works wonders....

    it is so much better...

    but its expensive.
    omg idk

  • What is better? (hair straightener)?

I have like a thick one, but I've heard that skinnier ones are better. Is that true?

Thanks. :DWhat is better? (hair straightener)?
    thin hair- skinnier

thick hair- thickerWhat is better? (hair straightener)?
Thin straighteners help you style the hair better, thick ones just like straighten it like flat. But with thin ones, you can do curls, you can get more volume if you want, you can do flips. And I have used both kinds and I definitely like the skinnier ones. Some really good straighteners that would be good are

    1. Chi- you can get it at target or any place that sells hair things, it works really good, it wamrs up in 90 seconds. and it straightens fabulouss!

    2. Royale- this straightener is seriously amazing. i dont have it yet but im getting it. me and my friend were walking in the mall and we stopped at one of those things in the middle of the mall with the straighteners, and she did it on my friends hair. it made her hair SO smooth, you dont ahve to use heat protectant, and it curls REALLY good. the chi doesnt curl. It comes in all different designs too. so i definitely recomend that(:
i have a straighter called a chi and its awesome im a black american and my hair is sometimes puffy but that`s when i was little now i have good hair like it makes my hair silky and have body now everybody at school wants my hair its a skinny kind and i think they work better now my hair is at the end of my back it works for any ethnic
honestly, I don't believe theres a difference, but listen to me: Don't straighten your hair every day, it causes damage no matter what size you use. It's like burning it. Also, every time you straighten it, you should apply some heat-protectant to your hair first. It comes in sprays or creams %26amp; isn't expensive usually but is SO worth it to have healthy looking hair. Trust me.
    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51/a>

It depends on the brand really. That's the iron I have, and it is AMAZING. It is 1.5 inches and it's ceramic. It takes me about 15-25 minutes to straighten my hair, but it gets up to like 400 degrees! [:

To be honest, the more expensive ones are usually the best ones. Mine was $120
It depends on the hair type. I have somewhat thick and wavy hair and I use FHI Heat. It is amazing and my hair stays straight for days. It all depends on the hair type. Skinny can mean more time, but all the hair is straight. Thick=shorter time but might not get all catch all the hair.
i personally have a one inch thin one, and i love it. its more concentrated heat on a strip of your hair, so the results are always sleek and perfectly straight. thick ones are okay, but i always found they snagged my hair. i will never switch from a one inch, i love it!
for me the skinnier ones work better, my hair is really thick so i can do the small sections better and i think the smaller ones have more heat.
i would say the skinnier ones work slower because they can only grasp so much hair. but i have a rather medium one and it seems to work just fine. stick to the one you have
its easy to work and you have more control

also heats up quicker and can maintain the same heat even if you are using buy HAI CHI or GHD great flat iron and i heard the nano babyless works great too.
i'd go for a one inch one.

    they are better because you

have more control and heat up

quicker. and if you use it to curl,

    it would be better.
it all depends on the brand and how hot it gets.

it also depends on the plates on it.
No- the longer your hair, the bigger the straightener.

    Skinnies take more time.
Depends on your hair and the straightener! You can never go wrong with a GHD!!! Its the best thing since sliced bread :) Its really amazing but use products for heat style hair!
yes.....by farr. thick ones just, well, are for more thinner hair....cant really describe it. but yes, they are better.
I have a CHI, which I believe is a skinnier one. It works great.
i think if you have thick hair buy the skinny one. think hair buy the thick one
it really just depends on your hair type u just have to try it and see which one you like the best no one can really tell you whats best for u besides yourself ya no
Back then I like the thick ones but now it looks like the newer thin ones works better. (CHI, SEDU, etc)
that instyler they advertise on the tv works
yes the skinny ones r better. get a Chi.
    true...
    depends on the hair

How do i get my mom to realize that i NEED a better hair straightener or at least persuade her to get me one?

Get a job if you're old enough. She can't do everything for you.How do i get my mom to realize that i NEED a better hair straightener or at least persuade her to get me one?
You do not need a different straightener. You need food, water, and shelter, not straight hair. She doesn't have to waste her money on you. Deal with what you have, if you spray it with a little hair spray first, even crappy straighteners will do a much better job at a lower heat. How do i get my mom to realize that i NEED a better hair straightener or at least persuade her to get me one?
well you coiuld just break it.

but if you dont want to go to that lengh you could just show her how bad you need a new staightener by complaining on how it takes forever to straighten your hair or how long it takes to heat up, just complain on how bad it is without trying to seem that you're asking for one.

    hope this helps :)
how curly/thick is your hair? if you just have wavy hair you may not need one THAT bad. i have extremely thick, frizzy hair and i need my expensive one.

if you pay for it yourself somehow (there's always holiday/birthday money. trust me, a good flat iron is an investment), she'll probably let you get it
I think that you NEED to buy one yourself, instead of having your mom do it.
If your old enough baby sit or just earn money so YOU can buy it!!! :D

Whats the better hair straightener remington or babyliss for wet and dry hair?

obviously remingtonWhats the better hair straightener remington or babyliss for wet and dry hair?
Not sure but my friend has remington ones and they are pretty good.Whats the better hair straightener remington or babyliss for wet and dry hair?
Well put it this way, i have a remington hair strightener but i still have curley hair, hope this helps.
I prefer G.H.D. but remington comes in a close second.
i,ve just bought some remington ones.. they are excellent.
I cannot comment on the babyliss as I have not used it, but the Remington was useless I sold mine on Ebay after the first use.

I have GHD now and would never use anything else.
Go to a local salon and book an appointment with a stylist and ask them to teach you how to blowdry your hair straight, you get a far smoother finish with a blowdry than with any straightners

because straightners can not reach the root
Hi i wouldnt recommend any wet to straight in any make, I got some remmington ones when they first come out and they were like æ‹¢100 quid but they just wreaked my hair, there ok on dry hair but dont straighten as well as others and they tend to pull loads causing the hair to split, For the price you pay you could get some GHDs which are very good, or kodo. Just stick to drying naturally or blow dry then straighten.
definitley remington. I own them but i also tried my friends babyliss ones and my hair was like straw! Remingtons make your hair less dry.
Babyliss has never appealed to me, so I can only comment on Remington Straighteners. I have the thickest head of hair and it is really long and wavy, and I can get my hair poker straight. As for GHD straighteners, I've heard too many horror stories about them blowing up, so I wouldn't use them.

    Remington all the way.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etcIs this a good hair straightener?
idk but i have had my iso straightener for 3 years and it works great. its a bit chipped b/c of my clumsiness in dropping it on hard floors, but it heats up in 30 sec and makes my hair shiney and straight.

it was like 200, but i use it everyday
I actually work at ULTA and we do not recommend this straightner. I dont want to say that it is not good because I personally have not used it before but I have heard from some of my co-workers that it doesnt really work well on wet hair. It says that is what it is for but it works better when your hair is dry. Well it really depends on your hair. If you have thin hair it might be ok but for thicker hair it probably wont give you very good results. If you are looking for a really good straightner buy a CHI or T3. They are the best that ULTA has to offer because they are truly ceramic. All of the other flat irons (usually anything under $80) are not really ceramic. They are just ceramic coated and eventually that will end up wearing off and then you can burn your hair. If you are looking for a brand that is not too expensive but works well I would go with Hot Tools or Wigo. You should also use a smaller 1'; iron cause they are easier to use and you will achieve better results. Well good luck!
    ghd is the best.x
yes! i have this straightner and SWEAR by it! i use the thinner one because my hair is shorter. what's so great about it, is that you can turn it down lower and use it on dry hair too! be super careful though because it is easy to burn you head or fingers since it steams. great great great straightner though!
Um..I never had that one, but any cheaper priced hair straightener is going to die on you sooner then if you get a professional one. Which in that case you are going to end up spending the same amount as if you were to buy a professional one in replacements for cheap ones. I prefer the CHI straightener. I have had if for 3 years and I swear by it. It also comes with a one year warranty so if something goes wrong and after the year it only costs $25 to have it repaired (that is if something goes wrong). I haven't had even one problem with it in the three years of owning it.

    Good hair straightener?

ok so i need a new straightener, i am a white woman with thick thick thick curly hair that i usually straighten everyday. lately my straightener has been not working very well and has the smell of burnt hair everytime i turn it on.

Any long lasting, good working straighteners you could recommend? and if possible please include where i can get it. money is not an object.

please and thanks =]Good hair straightener?
    Sedus work really well!

I have one, and it costs about $115.

    I bought it off folica.com.

It hasn't given me a problem in 6 months of owning it, and never fries my hair! It takes about a minute to heat up, too!

But don't fry your hair! Be sure to use a thermal protection spray, like Sunsilk.

    =] I hope this helps!Good hair straightener?
Yes Conair makes great Straighteners, and right now I have a 5 piece set that includes a Straightener, crimper, curler, ringlet curler, and oval curler for 29.99 with a warranty. If your interested you can email me at: imsobeautiful86@yahoo.com

    hope this helps
If money is not an issue then I would suggest CHI or GHD which you can purchase at Ulta. Mmmm around $100ish I think.

A cheaper alternative would be Vidal Sassoon (which I use :)) and that can be purchased at Wal-Mart for about $30.
I would recomend a Chi ceramic flat iron.
Conair and Loreal all the way. =]

Its thee best one out there.. I think at least

if you go to your local mall and they have those stands with straightners that they can try on you..

They work pretty good. Wide chis i think run for about 150.. but they are the best!!!!

it has a moisturizer and everything.
remington wet to dry or The Chi.

  • Which is better? Hair Straightener or Flat Iron?

I have a hair straightener only.

But i was wondering if i should get a Flat Iron for Christmas.

My hair is really rough and kinda frizzy and kinda short.

I want it to be really soft and smooth but also straight so my hair can be longer.

Would it be better for me use a Flat iron?Which is better? Hair Straightener or Flat Iron?
    THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. i dont understand the question straightener is the term they used until improvements were done to the technology of straighteners, along came a new professional name for them, flat iron. Of course the best flat irons are your best bet, but you can call them wither ';straigtener'; or ';flat iron';

What's a really good hair straightener?

I have wavy/curly hair and right now my straightener makes my hair sort of puffed out hair. My friend has a really good GHD one and it works AMAZING my hair is so straight. i sort of really do not want to pay that much money for one. But i mean if it really works then i might as well, so does anyone know any good ones that have good prices? and what are some really good hair styling prices to protect my hair from heat damage and to smooth down frizz? please %26amp; thank you! %26lt;3What's a really good hair straightener?
GHD and CHI are expensive, but they are definitely worth the money. I would suggest Nexus heat protexx spray or biolage heat protectant cream.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?/a>What's a really good hair straightener?
Of course, the famous chi straighteners are amazing but you don't need one. Try to find a ceramic iron, they have ones at walmart. I don't know how good they are but thats what you need. I know of two really good products. You can only get them at salons/beauty stores that aren't major chains though (Ulta, for example. Sallys wouldnt carry them). Its a line called ';Aqualage';. Get the ultra straightening gel. I have the thickest hair ever, and all I need is a dime of it to use on my hair. And if you use a little too much, it wont make your hair greasy! :) Also, get the shine spary. Spray it on after you blow dry your hair and after you straighten it. It makes your hair super soft and superrr shiny (: These two products together are no more than 30 bucks! Hope I helped!
    I have a Paul Mitchell.

    and I have a Chi.

    Theyy are awesome.

    But theyy do cost alot.

I believe they are worth it. : )
sedu ,black ceramic straighteners are the best and they are full ceramic not just plated.
i have ghd's they are the best.

    no doubt.

    espiecallt the thin ones.

they are woth the money and last years!
    Remington T Studio.

its about 30 bucks at target.

    its brown and pink.

    its the best one.
    GHD are the best
    CHI's are really good.

I also have one called the kiyoseki, that works really good.

But I'd go for the CHI :)
the CHI is the best rather expensive but worth every penny

    A good hair straightener?

anyone know of a good hair straightener besides a ghd?

    one thats not 2 expensive?

could you say how much it costs aswell in euro?

    thanks!A good hair straightener?
im not sure how much you are willing to pay but here are a few that i have used (my own and then the ones my friends have)

this is the straightener that I have:

The best part about it is that it gets super hot within 1 min of turning it on and it stays super hot. Idk if you like thin straighteners but im sure this one comes in a wider iron.

    http://www.folica.com/CHI_Digital_Cer_d4/a>

Another good straightener is this hotirons one. My friend has this and her mom is a hairdresser... Im not sure about the heat but It does a realllly nice job getting curly hair to be really straight.

    http://www.hottools.com/product_detail.c/a>

I used to have this straightener...it is pretty cheap compared to other nice straighteners and it turns itself off after 30 min (for safety reasons) The main thing i didnt like was that it snagged my hair a little bit. Over all though, it is a nice straightener for the amount of money...

im not sure about the euro thing...maybe if you order one online you can pay in euros.... do you want the straightener to have a european style plug? or an american one?

    hope this helps!!

Alright, i have used straighteners in england too! The first most important thing is NOT to buy an american straightener. They just dont seem to work the same over there....When i visit england every summer my friends there seem to all have ghd...i know you dont want that. I would try to find the european chi website becasue chi is one of the best straighteners and it seems to be in your price range.A good hair straightener?
you simply CANNOT beat GHD. honestly, they are the best.

if you do decide to go for them, it's usually cheaper buying direct off their website than buying them in a salon or from another shop. and you also get nice deal offers off the website.

o' btw, you get 3 main sizes in GHD, the small ones are super thin and not much use for the average girl, go for medium or large. i've got very long thick hair, so i got the large and i love them! even if you hair aint so long or thick though i still recon the large ones would be best.

oh idk, i heard that andes are pretty good and not that expensive. But if you are really going to be using it a lot... you should get a chi. It's like $120 tho but worth the price. I don't think that you could get them anywhere like walmart or target, but a salon or boutique might have them. Good luck!
I have the Remmington Wet2Straight, and while I wouldn't advise using it while your hair is super wet, it works wonders when you dry your hair 3/4 of the way and straighten the rest or if you have difficult hair to blowdry. (:

Idk about euros, but mine was $29.99 at Ulta.
CHI or FHI are the best, they are about $100.00 US (not sure how that converts to euro), but they are totally worth it! Also FHI is the next best thing! Its a little cheaper than the CHI too about $50- $70 US. Hope this was helpful!
Use one that has gold plates, you can find some at duane read thats really cheap. and use chi heat protector to protect your hair from burning/damage/split ends
CHI is a really good straightener! I think they are like 100 dollars. But if you want a really good straightener, its worth it!

Good Luck! I hope you find a good one! =]
    Sperm.

    Free.

    your welcome.
I have a GHD but I got mine off Ebay

    It was only $120 AUS

Sorry don't know what that is in euro.
Nicky Clarke straighteners are really good.
The bed head ones are good. They come in different colors too. Enjoy
um.. im not sure how much it cost in euro but in u.s dollars its really cheap about 15$ depending on what size u want its the andis
Chi is gr8 if u can get it on a discount
Chi is a good one if you get it on sale
I got my Chi on ebay for $74. It's the best!

Is this a good hair straightener?

i recently bought a Revlon hair straightener from walmart for 18 dollars. i am not really sure if its good or not.

    it has-

Gold tone full size 2'; plate

    30-second fast heat-up

    25 heat settings

    high heat and constant heat

it also sensors monitor temperature, quickly restoring heat to the perfect styling level.

Can you please tell me if this is a good straightener or not, including the reasons? Is this a good hair straightener?
the way you are describing it it sounds like it would work but

since its cheap it might not be good. if it gets up to 400 heat then it might be good. i bought a cheap one before and it last 2 weeks.

a good one at the lowest is 120 dollors may seem a lot at first but they last a long time and are really good. i recomed a chiIs this a good hair straightener?
yea...thats a really good straightener ...I wanted to get a straightener but wasn't sure which brand or what kind to buy. I asked my hairstylist about straighteners and she said that price wasn't really important--cheaper products could be just as effective as more expensive ones. The only things you need to watch out for (especially if you color your hair or have dry hair from styling, etc.) are that there are adjustable heat settings and ceramic plates rather than metal, because it won't burn your hair that way. This is a great buy because it has up to 25 heat settings and ceramic plates. It heats up within about a minute or two and only takes about 5 to 7 minutes for me to get my hair extremely straight
Hair Straighteners usually run from 90 to 100 dollars.

Now the 60 and 70 dollar ones usually run OK%26gt; but to get a good salon pro straighten.....I would save a few bucks and invest in Chi Irons.
umm i dont think its very gd

    try getting a CHI straightener

i hav 1 and its awesomee

but it costs more than $50...
that sounds like a good straightner to me. but woah $18 is cheap!! haha. no wonder. ';always low prices'; -wal mart =] hahah
I don't think so if you bought it at walmart because its not professional. Try BaByliss from the hair salon.
i too have the same one it is going really very good

    Good hair straightener?

I need to know suggestions for a good hair straightener, not too expensive. My hair isnt too thick and is normal but kinda hard to style. Thanks!Good hair straightener?
Infiniti by Conair You Style Multi-Functional Styling Iron- $39.99

I have this flat iron, it works really well. It curls to(: So that's two in oneGood hair straightener?
Go with a GHD. I own this one and we used them at the salon I work at, http://www.beautychoice.com/products/Pur/a> If you can honestly save up for it then go for it. Its amazing.

    What it does:

The GHD IV Styler is all you'll ever need to create perfect curls, movement, volume and straight hair, thanks to its advanced technology and smart features. The limited-edition GHD IV Pure Styler comes in a high gloss white accompanied by a beautiful heat-resistant case adorned with a matching white flock pattern.

What else you need to know:

    * Ghd styling irons are designed to curl, straighten, flick, and/or wave the hair.

    * Ghd styling irons emit infrared heat and produce negative ions reducing static and creating shine by closing the cuticle.

    * Ghd styling irons have floating blades for flexibility and smoothness.

    * Ghd styling irons are equipped with built-in integrated circuits and platinum heating elements arranged in a mesh grid pattern which covers the entire aluminum plate; these features ensure a constant temperature throughout the styling process, without hot and cold spots.

    * Ghd styling irons have a built-in micro-processor embedded into one blade--this monitors and regulates the temperature of the blades.

    * Turns off automatically if left unattended for 30 minutes.

Or, go with a CHI. CHI products are amazing. Their both pricey but they get the job done.
    Get a Chi.

If your budget was a bit higher, I'd recommend a Sedu or GHD, but those are almost $200 each.

A 1'; Original Chi will work just fine for you (:

You can buy one here for about $70: http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Fla_d1/a>

Don't worry, that's a reliable site. I buy hair products from there all the time and receive them within a few days. Chis are also sold at Ulta or some higher end salons.

Chi is a top of the line salon brand straightener. They make your hair really straight and silky ;D
    just go with a chi.

i have had mine since 8th grade (im 20 now) and it still does an amazing job.

    totally worth the $100 investment.

before i got that one i probably spend 3 times as much on cheap ones that either broke, or didn't get hot enough.

so just spend the extra money!!

    conair?
I have a Curlmaster Ceramics. Love it!! Bought at Sally Beauty supply for under $40. Can probably buy at Ulta, too.
Infiniti! It works like a charm!
    Curioliss or Chi.
Try using a Conair Infiniti. Safely dries wet or damp hair as it straightens. Hot air feature provides instant drying power Tourmaline Ceramic Technology Ion output helps smooth the cuticle layer creating silky, shiny hair.
A GHD is the best, have one and will never look back....it never lets me down.
chi hair straighteners are the best!! i have super curly hair, and in 20 minutes. its silky smooth =]
i have a remmington, and i got it at target for a little less than $30. It's wet 2 straight, so you can straighten it dry w/out even blowdrying it or airdrying! it works really well and actually gets your hair straight, and not just wavy-ish. You can also use it when your hair is dry already. It saves so much time!!!
';Hot Tools';. I've been using their products for years now and they never break %26amp; i never have problems with their tools!
Actually...you can get a straightner at wal-mart that works really good for like no more that 20 bucks! Just make sure it has the acrylic metal looking things that you put you hair between to straighten it..those work the best.
Conair Infiniti- you can but it pretty much everywhere.

    Its around $40.00.
    conair.

my friend has a conair, its black on the outside and purple on the inside, and it works really good on her hair.

  • Is Sedu a good hair straightener?

i want a 1 1/2 inch. is that better than 1 inch? i have long coarse hair.Is Sedu a good hair straightener?
yes get the 1 1/2 inch it works better for longer coarser hair. The Sedu was rated by customers and dosen't break as easily as the Chi. The Chi does work my friend has one and it makes her soft and shiny but breaks quiclkly. The Sedu is great it dosen't pull your hair and makes it really smooth. Plus it lasts longer! It takes less time to straighten it with the Sedu and has temp. control thats just right for your hair. But all straightners do ruin your hair one way or another so use heat protectant L'Oreal ';Hot Straight'; Straightening Cream (it's in a pink bottle) or Paul Mitchell Serum help.Is Sedu a good hair straightener?
Yes definetly. If it is expensive than it is good. I heard that Sedu doesnt really damage hair. 1/2 inch is better than 1 inch for long hair. Cuz i have long hair too and i use a 1/2 inch. It works fine. I hope it works good on u too!
The Sedu is a great hair straightener. It doesn't damage your hair as bad as others would. You should also use L'Oreal hot straight heat activated straightening cream to put extra protection on your hair. It is really an amazing straightener and I am guessing that you looked at folica.com which is really an amazing website. If you haven't looked there then you definitly should as it gives you many reviews from real people. Hope it helped you!
    no at lest 2 inches
Yes good. Though Chi is better.
I've heard that Sedu really dries your hair out. I currently use the Chi to straighten my hair (works really well), but I always use some type of heat-styling gel to counter-act the effects of the high heat. As far as the size goes, it realy depends what you want to do...if you want to add curls, waves, etc. then i'd use the small size, but if you're just looking to straighten it, i'd go with a bigger size. hope this helps! :)
