Revlon has a good straightener.

But yes if you do it a lot and turn the heat up to 15 or so, yes you can damage your hair by making it thin and weak.
try chi or ghd. just use a protective coating spray 1st
My friends uses a starightener that works really well. You can also use flat iron spray to keep your hair non-frizz.

Good Luck
I have a Chi and it only takes me 15 min. to straighten my hair ( and I have lots of it)as opposed to the Revlon one. It also heats up a lot quicker. They are a little pricey but worth it! Invest in one. It will be the best thing you ever did.

Whatever you decided to get make sure it's ceramic. Less change of hair damage.
If you want a really good straightener, try going to ULTA and getting their CHI straightener. I use that one and it straightens my hair really well with less application.

If you want a lower priced one.

Hot Tools or Revlon sells some pretty good ones.

Good luck.
Yes it for sure will damage ur hair.. Ur making it straight.. You are going to use heat i guess? And it will make ur hair fall.. Do not do it....
CHI

May cost a lot, but way worth the price. They don't break easily either.
Have your hair chemically straightened ONLY by a professional hairdresser with experience. Or use a flat iron to temporarily straighten your hair.

I recommend the ';True Ceramic Pro'; iron.

If you want one, it's at: officialseeontv.com/trueceramicpro.html
