A good Hair Straightener?

which hair straightener works best? i'd like to buy one thats between $12-$20. cheap ones arent that good but im not going to use it often so its okay. i'm planning on using it to curl my hair. thats what curling irons are for but i prefer the flat iron. my hair is black, straight, and not that thin but its not thick. ive seen some that are round [like the outside, not the iron plates] and flat. shape doesnt matter right? some are plastic and some are metal/ ceramic? i need one that can touch and wont burn my hand. [which brand burns your hand? do you know?] im in SF. so far, i looked at KMart, walgreens and Longs Drugs. i dont know which one is good. thanks!A good Hair Straightener?
Make sure you get one with a ceramic plate- it does FAR less damage to your hair and is about the same price these days. Plus it's supposed to spread the heat more evenly.A good Hair Straightener?

well its hard to find a good straightener for that price. i would recomend the solia or sude that is more expansive but much better results. but i've used this flat iron and it had pretty good results for the price. this price says like $26 but i got it at target for like $15. HOpe I helped. GL

conair! i thinks it is $20. i've tried many different straighteners and conair is deffinately the best! i got it at strack %26amp; vantills. (yes, the cheap stores DO have good stuff!)
I live in southern Florida, so we have publix's here, which have a number of good hair supplies.

Since your budget is $10-$20 I would Recommend a Conair Straighter, these would very well, and are pretty cheap, depending where you go they might be over $20 $25 tops though.

Go for a conair...a ceramic straightner...as you straitghten your hair does not get as damaged..plus I heard somewhere it also repairs hair.
