Good Hair Straighteners. . .?

Okay so I just got bangs, and wanted a good hair straightener that would work on my hair. It's very thick and wavy, and I'm looking for a quality one.I have looked at a bunch of conair ones, and I was wondering if there are any good ones (doesn't have to be a specific brand)that has worked for you from experience. . . .

NEVER use a straightener on your hair when it's wet.. when your hair is wet, it is more prone to breakage and thats just unhealthy for your hair.
