If you're looking online, there are a lot of different ones to get from either the company site or places like ebay.
Chi and BaByliss straighteners are good.
Sally's Beauty Supply also has a lot of nice ones, if you have one in your area.
They even have generic knockoffs (GVP) that are really good; they cost about $60, but I've used them and they straighten very nicely (and my hair is very curly, coarse, and thick).

You can get a GHD at Sephora. They are located in most malls or you can order it online from their website. Also if you want to look at other great straighteners I suggest a Solia, Fhi, or Sedu. You can look at peoples review and the different brands. I own both a solia and a GHD and they are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Or ebay once you know which one you want. I found my Chi on folica and got it brand new on ebay for a lot less because they're pretty pricey, but it works so good and leaves my hair shiny after straightening.

Definitely at your local mall, there are little booths for beauty with flat irons that really work! I tried it! (: and my hair is hard to straighten!
