When people say to go to a salon to get a good hair straightener...?

what is considered a salon?

places like holiday hair? just the regular place i go to get my hair cut?

i know this is a stupid question, but id rather ask on here then go into holiday hair or whever and look like an idiot. When people say to go to a salon to get a good hair straightener...?
most, if not all, salons carry only professional products. so when it is suggested to go to a salon, we assume their products are going to be to a higher standard than your ';conair'; and ';revlon'; brands. typically if you can purchase it in a drug store, it is a generic brand, or diverted product(salon product that has found it's way outside a salon or beauty supply.)When people say to go to a salon to get a good hair straightener...?
ask youself this is where i go now some one i trust and how experienced are they in that straightening product? also have you seen anyone with results you admire? the key thing to remember is get a strand test done on a small piece of hair and have it tested with the prodct before you make a commitment to your entire head, this way you will know if the product works for you without such a big investment.
first off DON'T go to get one at walmart or target. they sell cheap ones there and they'll just destroy your ends. go to a professional hair salon. idk where u get your hair cut but don't go to like cost cutters or something. go to a professional hair studio or salon. they may be more expensive but they won't ruin your hair
you can go to any beauty product store as well, but yeah in most any salon. just go to one that has the products. and if you are worried about spending too much. you can probably get the same products at target or walmart
