All hair straighteners damage hair after prolonged use, there's no way around it. Some take longer to, but all do in the long run, depending on the frequency of use, strength of the heat, and length of time you're using it.





When you do straighten your hair, don't go over the same piece more than once, because it doesn't really do much of a difference as far as making it more straight, its just pulling the strand straighter, which you can do with a hairbrush.





Try not to straighten your hair too often if you don't want breakage, once a week, tops.





Whenever you use a heat treatment (straightener, curling iron, blow drying, whatever) you should always use a heat protectant spray, try Tresemme.

all straightners will damage your hair. i have a good one, but i forget the name. go to your hair dresser and ask them what kind would be good for your hair.
