Is amika a good hair straightener?

i know its expensive, but is it good quality compared to other brands?Is amika a good hair straightener?
I've never heard of this company, but I do know a really good one that has been working for me for years. It's called chi, which I'm sure you've heard of. I ordered mine online a little over 3 years ago, and it has been working all this time.

I got mine for $125 canadian dollars plus shipping and handling (which wasn't that bad) instead of my friend, who got it for $250. There are also less expensive ones, as well as other kinds of brands.
