Depends on what you want.

You want it a little straight but still kind of curly? Try Designer's Touch Texturizer. You want it totally straight? Try one of the straightening perms for African Americans sold at Walgreens. For example, ';Bone Straight.'; Don't do anything too exotic/botanical i.e. Brazilian products. Stay away from ';Dark and Lovely.'; These perms should run about $10-12. You want it super straight and you have European hair? Try a Yuki perm. It's Japanese and ultra-straight, but also ultra-expensive.

If you just want it curly with well-defined curls and waves but not kinky, go with a roller perm from the salon (The European kind, not the jerri curl kind like ';S Curl';). It's expensive but it will last a while. And yes, European roller perms, if done tight, will work on African American hair too, so straightening perms are not necessary for styles that call for tight waves or curls.
cheap vidal sasson but is not good at all.i think you need to invest on this item so you get beautiful results and do the least damage to you hair.baby liss is a good one!! shpo around but the prices are high for the good ones maybe up to 90 dollars
i am not sure what exactly you mean by inexpensive, but i DO recommend Maxius hair straightener. it's worth the money, you even end up saving a lot. and it's good for your hair, the texture doesn't get dry, but becomes smooth with the help of built-in steamer. it's great. i bought mine 2.5 years ago, and i'm still using it. great for long hair as well. the price (if i'm not wrong) is between $100 and $150. but like i said, it will save you money along the way... good luck
for girl its nice to have a curly hair, why do

The best one that I use is - Easy Straight - flat iron finish . You can get it at Eckerds , Walgreens , Rite Aid .... They have many different products - a 3 month straightener , 1 week straightener , or a daily straightener . I have natural wavy hair that is so hard to keep straight - Easy straight works great ! The daily straightener cost $1.99 a pack . The week is about $15.99 . The 3 month is about $30 . Hope this helps .
A Chii normaly it's exspensive like $120.00 but if you go on eBay they start at .99! It works really good to and it heats up in like 5-10 seconds and it gets really hot! I LOVE my Chii!

P.S. you can pick the color you want to !
