Is the CORTEX a good hair straightener?

I have never personally used it, however I have taken a look at it. The plates are ceramic which is important. I wouldn't ever purchase metal, it's way to hard on your hair. I do personally recommend the Chi flat iron. Some view the price for it as steep, but if you shop around you may find it cheap out there somewhere. I know Overstock.com had them for a while for $70. I feel that for something your going to use often you might as well spend a little bit on it . I've had my flat iron for around 3 yrs now and have not had a single issue with it (which is surprising with how many times I have dropped it or splashed water on it). My friend and I were both actually just recently discussing that anything we have ever spend less than 60 on has shorted out on us in less than a yr.Is the CORTEX a good hair straightener?
I never heard of the brand straightener called CORTEX...


but the best brand straightener is called CHI that's my opinion. I have had one for 6 years now and it's a lifesaver.
