Buying a GOOD hair straightener under $25?

It's for a birthday present and I'm on a budget. I can go to stores like CVS, RiteAid/Brooks, WalMart, Target, etc.

I haven't used this myself, but I've been told it works REALLY well. However, my hair is crazy and the only thing that will tame it is a Chi Straightener. But those range from $100-$150(Maybe more?)



But as far as I know, this is the only one under $25 that is really good.

But I've been told it REALLY fries your hair. If you even care about that.

I bought my hair straightener for 13 dollars at rite aid. $13 for 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. It is also a hair curler.
