Good hair straighteners or brands?

Right now I have a Remington Wet2Straight. It works pretty well I guess but I know there's better options out there, or maybe one that works especially well for my kind of hair, which is really thick, long, layered, and naturally curly. I live in an incredibly hot and humid climate also. My problem is that while I'm at home in the AC, my hair is fine and stays straight, but as soon as I walk outside it frizzes up like there's no tomorrow and loses its shape.

It could just be that I need different hair product also. Right now I don't really use anything except shampoo/conditioner on a regular basis. John Freida Radiant Red.

So, any ideas I'd be grateful for.Good hair straighteners or brands?
The problem you are having is that your hairstyle is not properly set when you walk out into the humidity. The problem could be the type of straightener you are using or the hair products you are using. I have used cheaper straighteners that you can buy at Wal-Mart, but they never really fully straightened my hair unless I spent a lot of time on it. I bought a true ceramic pro off of eBay and realized the difference in one use. If you can get a ceramic straightener like a chi or true ceramic pro, it will definitely make a difference. The second thing I started using in my hair is hair serum. It will get rid of the frizziness in your hair. I just use a little on my hair and it really helps. Good luck!!!Good hair straighteners or brands?
well, conair hair straighteners are good. and i never tried them, but bed hed is also a really good brand name, i would get the v05 (i think it is) straightening gel. and spray your hair down with hairspray afterwords.

also use herbalessence dangeroulsy straight shampoo conditinor mousee and spray and all there other products. just find the one that works for you

oh yeah and i have thin hair that is really easy to straighten so it might be why all this stuff works for me. but i kinda wish i had naturaly curly hair cause it is hard to curl hair, but easier to straighten

Try anti frizz shampoo/conditioners.

Also, Andis is awesome. I have a 1/2'; ceramic plated one. I have thick asian hair and it works wonders. My hair is crazy wavy by the way. I wasn't blessed with the freakishly straight hair.
GHDs. They are expensive, but worth it if your hair is really thick. They heat quickly, straightenn well, but you have to have your hair dry before you use them because otherwise you'll 1) Break the straighteners and 2) Break your hair

They're long-life, but once you've started straightening with them, if they brake down, you are addicted.

As all us straightener whores are. ^^
Nicky Clarke. These ones keep my hair looking okay when I go outside and my hair's a nightmare!
