remmington is the best wet to dry i have thick hair too and i have been using that for 3years now and its good i have recommneded it to so many and most ppl have loved it
You get what you pay for......a chi straightener works the best but cost $200+

I've tried conair %26amp; babyliss in the past but don't waste your money on either.

Also get your stylist to take some of the ';weight '; out of your hair (sort of like thinning it out)-it will help with straightening %26amp; save time.
chi! they are amazing at life!
