What is a good hair straightener brand?

My old straightener makes my hair smell burnt. I have no idea why. I need one that is cheap(no more than $30), does a really good job(my hair is really thick), and doesn't take long to heat up.What is a good hair straightener brand?

Maybe you should try going to the hair dressers and asking them which one would be best for your type of hair.
What you need to do is use a hair serum or a leave in conditioner before you straighten your hair. ConAir has a good one, use a lower heat setting too!

a CHI is expensive i think but it works really good. other than that my sister has a revlon straight iron. thats what its called but idk she said it was only like $20 so go to rite aid and they have good ones there

Well first off you need a straightener with a gold plate because it will not burn your hair. And when your hair smells burnt that means your straightener accually burnt your hair.
