What are some good hair straighteners?

i have thick wavy hair thats about medium length and it straightens just fine in the morning but doesnt last all day! i hate this, does annyone know what straightener would be good and not just the brand the actual straightener because ive been looking at some CHI but i dont know if i want to get one.What are some good hair straighteners?

I have a SEDU, the older version, which works great(you can really feel it getting into your hair and it lasts all day, but just make sure that for this particular straightener you use a good product before blow-drying since you don't want to fry your hair...I use TECHNI ART by L'OREAL PROFESSIONAL, it's amazing, believe me), any kind of CHI is great too, but I'd stick with the old version since it's been around for a while so there's less chances of ';manufacturer's defects'; and ****. ps.Biosilk is amazing and makes my hair look much healthier and seems to help it stay straighter too.
GHD IV Styler-it has rounded tongs so you can curl your hair too, and you can also get it in limited edition hot pink with some lipglosses at the minute to support cancer research. I have thick hair too and it works wonders with mine!
