Wet to dry hair straighteners?

I got some wet to dry hair straighteners for Christmas - they do a great job on my hair and it looks really good when I have used them. Are they more damaging to hair than normal straighteners though?Wet to dry hair straighteners?
I have been using Remington Wet 2 Dry Straigners for over a year and they are great.

My hair is much better now after using these and i do my hair everyother day.

They lock the moisture into your hair, It is such a high heat it drys, seals and straighterns all at the same time.

Blow drying your hair then ironing it is much much worse then using these.Wet to dry hair straighteners?
They're more damaging. More heat is involved to style the hair, therefore it hurts your hair more whereas you let your hair dry naturally and then straighten it.
Any hair appliance damages your hair. Wet to drys are better though than normal straightners as they help keep the moisture in you hair. I used to have a pair myself, but i wouldnt recomend having them on full heat when using them on dry hair, as the temperature is higher than your avrage straightner that is used on dry hair (dont worry, this is only so that it drys your hair!) so if you can, turn them down abit! Or just use a normal straightner if your hair isnt wet...Have fun using them!
yes
I have 1 wet to dry straightener it works perfect but leaves your hair frizzy as of all straighteners do this even plain 1s....and yes it does damage your hair but not to worry here are simple solutions:

1:just turn you straightener down to the lowest setting so it doesnt dry/burn/whatever your hair

2:use product in your hair AFTER your done straightening [this is very important] because if u use product 2 you hair and then straighten something bad will happen UNLESS this product is not flamable...I still wouldnt take chances!

3:make sure your hair is damp not extremely wet

4:only use this straightener when u need to use it because if u use it less it wont cause as much damage 2 the hair

well hope this helps and have a great year! 鈾?] -hannahbell lee
Trust Me.

In the long run.

These wet to dry straightners will cause me damage in the long run.

Please go out, get a normal straightner, get flat iron protective spray, and keep your hair safe!

That is my advice to you

=]
yeah....frizzling your hair. just love the hair you have don't iron it. it looks trashy
well they r specifically made to do the job so i dont think theyre really any different u just have toreward ur hair with more conditioning stuff when u straighten it alot i use on en it just makes my hair super hot ive burned my finger on my hair b4 so i mean im sure its not the best but straightening ur hairs not the best either just use extra really good conditioner n things like that n it really shouldnt matter anyway
I think it is okay but you should get the water off of your hair first- know what I mean? Like dry it off with a towel and then straighten it.
I have one and what I know of them , they don't do any more damage than any other straighteners. I only use mine for special occasions like formals and pictures but my Mom uses it a lot and her hair is still great. If you think it's damaging your hair, talk to your hair dresser.
All straighteners are bad for your hair , i think these are a little more damaging but if you are not using them everyday you should be ok , you can get stuff from the local supermarket that you put on your hair before straightening it , apparently its suppose to protect your hair .......
In my opinion they are because they use such a high heat to straighten AND dry. They work great but i wouldn't use it all the time. All straighteners are damaging, I wouldnt be to worried.
YES THEY ARE!!!! i done the trials for the Remington ones and omg when we looked at the hair under a m'scope it was slightly more damaged....it does practically fry the hair...i would suggest you dry it and use them as when u straighten it form wet it does not dry the hair properly
yea
Yes but not much
no because you are not burning your hair to get it straigt
no ,um gjnfogheaojreugrjfjfrjf
maybe a little

but i heard they do a better job
i,ve used them once and didn't recommend them they work well but didn't straighten as well as the normal ones, if you like them and don't do it everyday they shouldn't damage your hair just make sure you use a good heat protection spray....
I'm not an expert but I can imagine since you're not supposed to use heat rollers or a curling iron on wet hair it will do MORE damage in the long run.
Don麓t worry they will be fine!!!!!!!
no, they are not

there is really no difference :)
they are if you use them to much! try to use a blow dryer at some points! I was going to get one but my friend has it and she uses it every day her hair is completely fried %26amp; much less than b4 she started with it! Take care of your hair don't straiten it every day through it in a pony tail if its that bad!
i thin kthey are cuz they make my hair very staticy, and it drys fast, but it still makes it staticy!!
Ive never heard of those, but I'd like to get some! :] Well, if you start to see damage in your hair, that wasn't there before you started to use those, I would stop using them. Hope that helped! :)
you should NEVER use hot heat products on wet hair.it damages them by stripping out its natural oils, causing split ends and major damage overall.you should straighten it when your hair is dry.and use heat protection spray.
well my friend has a wet 2 dry starightener and i have a regular straightener and i seem 2 get more split ends than she does so i don't think they r any worse than regular straigheners
I am not a professional so I don't know if they do for sure, but I know that I had one a while back and it completely ruined my hair. It's taken me months to get my hair healthy again. It made my hair really dry and it constantly had split ends. If you're going to keep using them, I'd suggest using a moisture shampoo and conditioner so the straightener won't dry your hair out. I started to use Dove moisture shampoo and conditioner (in the light blue bottles) after my hair got fried and it really helped bring my hair back to life. Hope you don't have the same problem as me though!!
I would not use it on wet hair-damp only and don't pull too much
Not damaging your hair anymore than normal straighteners. Just make sure you use the appropriate creams and sprays. Happy straightening!
yeah...but they always damage your hair.
