Do wet to dry hair straighteners work?

I need a straightener that will keep my hair straight all day and I can use like right when I get out of the shower to have completely dry, straight hair. My hair isn't hard to straighten, it's just a little wavy. Do wet to dry hair straighteners work? And if they do, what are some good ones?Do wet to dry hair straighteners work?
Yeah they are okay. I used to have one and what I would do was straighten my hair wet with the wet dry one. Then, I straighten my hair with a regular Straightener. I did this because the wet dry would dry your hair and it was faster than to blow dry it.Do wet to dry hair straighteners work?
I have one, but don't use it anymore. Between straightening it and dyeing it and using chemicals on it, My hair was fryed I had to get 8 inches cut off and my hair dresser told me if I keep it up I will lose all of my hair if I dyed it again or if I kept straightening it which was the main cause of the problem. See straightening hair is bad for you cause over time it fry's it, unless you use a deep conditioning once a week and you don't dye it too often, but when you straighten it wet to dry it fry's it and makes it brittle and causes it to break off.
Mhmm... well, when i'm on a hurry, and my hair is a lil wet, not super duper wet like coming STRAIGHT out from the shower and puddles are forming on the floor from my hair, I straighten it sometimes when it's just damp, and it KINDA works.. the bad part is that it FRIZZES... I think the best is to just dry your hair with a hair dryer then straighten it.. I always try it and it only takes 20 minutes.
ok.

my straightener is not wet to straight, so i blow dry then straighten my hair.

my cousin has a wet to dry, so when i stay at her house, i use it after i get out of the shower, and it definitely works.

however

it takes just about the same amount of time (if not, longer) to straighten it with a wet to dry straightener when your hair is wet.
Yes they really work I have one mine is called andis ceramic it works really well, and it really straightens my hair when it is wet. also maybe u can use a blow dryer, it works for me, if I don't feel like straight iron my hair I might just use my blow dryer, it straightens my hair, when it is wet and when it is dry.
Ive had a few , and they work on damp hair but not soaking wet hair .

If you get right out of the shower and try to use it , usually the whole straighter gets really hot and your hand will get burnt or itll fry your hair . id just buy a good regular straighter and blow dry your hair . its better for your hair too ! :)
I had one, one time, but I don't think they really work. I mean they work but they are kind of a hassle. When I did it when my hair was wet there was steam everywhere and then when i had finished i had to staighten it again cuz it was dry but it was all poofy.
I wouldn't use onee.

They damage your hairr a lottt.

Just blowdry your hair with a round brush,,if you have wavy hair it shouldn't be that hard to straighten with a blowdryer.

So just blowdry it %26amp;%26amp; touch up with straightner.

Good luck!(:
Yes I have one. I have a conair one. Works really well. But chi is amazing. I L%26lt;3VE them and you will love them too :]

But they CAN be damaging if you don't apply serum. Also do not use it when it's soaked. Make sure it's only damp
sure, they work. but they leave your hair totally damaged! and after you use it for a while, your hair starts to get a burnt smell to it. it's gross. i suggest you just blow-dry then straighten your hair.
i have one and it drys the hair but it sucks! my hair doesn't stay strightened all day even when my hair is dry i have the brand wet 2 straight dont get it!
Straightening your hair while wet takes so much longer and I personally feel that straightening my hair when it is dry is easier, lasts longer and looks better.
I would recommend not using them as they wreck your hair!

Try investing in a proper pair of straighteners, like GHD's.

And using serum and shampoo's which claim to keep your hair straighter - never know might work :)
Some of them works but its rrealy dangerous to use the straightener when ur hair is wet. Its gona smell like ur hair is gona burn. Never do it with ur hair wet
NO! don't use them. they will fry your hair off. even if they say it wont there is no way to apply direct heat to wet hair without causing damage. just blow dry it
They don;t.

AT ALL! You straighten your hair %26amp; you think its straight and after about ten mins its wavy again!

%26amp; LOADS of steam comes off whilst doing it!

I wouldn't reccomend it.
no!!! no no no...dont use them. they completely damage your hair. and it makes it frizz..blow dry your hair then use a steam straightener.

trust me
yea but it hurts and wen u make the hot plates touch the wet hair it makes hecka steam go out and makes a hissing noise
Unless you want to fry your hair, I dont think its a good idea even if the commercials and ads say it is.
yes most definitely. any true ceramic hair straightener will work. i use chi, it's the best.
They work but it destroys your hair and doesn't make it look silky or anything!
yea they work but it is extremely unhealthy for your hair. It will make your hair all dry and brittle
when you find out can you let me kn ow at hannahbabe95@rocketmail.com cause i want to know the same question.
nope. Your hair has to be damp.
no! they fry your hair!
yes, most work. my cousin, whose hair is very difficult to straighten has one and it works fine
