Any good hair straighteners?

i have THICK wavy hair. and it doesn't straighten easily. HELP PLEASE =]Any good hair straighteners?
straighten it in layers, Put ur hair in a half ponytail and then ad more and more at the bottom. Another way to help is to straighten it damp, not soaking wet, but dampAny good hair straighteners?
CERAMIC FLAT IRON, AND FLAT IRON SPRAY. IT WORKS FOR ME AND I HAVE REALLY THICK CURLY HAIR. AND NOW IT'S SUPER FLAT.
I heard that anything with ceramic plates will do a good job.

Also, it does work better when you separate your hair into layers and straighten each layer.
